Second Top of the Month

I spent the day in my sewing room. There were a million other things I could have done but I didn't. I never even got out of my pajamas! This is McCalls 5741. I've made it before and decided "why not?" The fabric is polyester charmuese. I don't know why I didn't chose easier patterns but I'm working from my stash. My husband doesn't like the buttons at first and tried to talk me into going the fabric store to pick out new ones. We didn't go but in the end he decided they would do.

I'm hoping to sew one more before the end of the month. Wish me luck!

  1. The blouse looks great. You can make another blouse before the deadline. Use the same pattern.

  2. Like the shirt. The fabric has a nice pattern. My philosophy with those fabrics is not to choose sewing patterns or notions that will compete with the fabric pattern. The buttons blend in well and don't detract from the pattern. Fun shirt!
